Living Space Housing is announced as a finalist in the Insider West Midlands Property Awards  

Living Space Housing has been announced as a finalist in the 2020 Insider West Midlands Property Awards.

The Solihull-headquartered company has made the four-strong shortlist for Residential Developer of the Year, alongside Court Collaboration, Inspired Villages and Spitfire Bespoke Homes. The prestigious regional Awards scheme has a total of 10 categories and the winners will be announced in March 2021.

Living Space launched to the market in 2019 as a specialist in affordable housing. By July 2020, the company had grown at such a pace, it was able to respond to the industry-wide issues of low output caused by the Covid-19 pandemic by ramping up production. Living Space is working to deliver 580 affordable houses, apartments and bungalows - with a total value of £72m - by March 2022.

The vast majority of the homes Living Space builds are delivered to Registered Providers (RPs) for affordable rent and shared ownership. Approximately five per cent of the plots currently being delivered are being sold on the open market, with prices starting from £220,000. Living Space sources the land, achieves Full Detailed Planning consent and builds the homes for the RP, enabling them to focus on the funding and management of high-quality homes for their residents.

Living Space is a development-led residential planning, design and construction services solution for Registered Providers, PRS Funds, the NHS, Universities and Defence Estates, which provides an end-to-end service, enabling more homes to be delivered with greater efficiency. The fast-growing company already has a total of 406 residential plots under control, representing a combined construction value in excess of £61million.

New sites are coming online in Bedfordshire and Oxfordshire, while the East Midlands has also been identified as a growth area for its high-quality affordable housing product.
