Living Space Housing is Highly Commended in the West Midlands Property Awards

January 18, 2021

The results of Insider’s West Midlands Property Awards have today been announced, with Living Space Housing ‘Highly Commended’ as Residential Developer of the Year. This is an incredible achievement for a new business in only its second year of physical trading.

As no awards ceremony could take place due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Insider revealed the winners of the 11 fiercely contested categories to its entire regional readership. Living Space made the shortlist of four for the Residential Developer of the Year category and has then gone on to be ‘Highly Commended’ by the panel of judges. The category winner was Court Collaboration who has a number of high-rise schemes in Birmingham.

Steve Davies, Managing Director of Living Space Housing said: “It has been so exciting to simply be in a position to enter a prestigious awards event, so soon after we commenced trading. The Residential Developer of the Year category requires entrants to have three live developments in the region. We have six – plus another in Bedfordshire – and are on track to deliver a £20m turnover for this financial year. With the team working so hard to deliver quality affordable new homes to our purchasers and Housing Association customers, we will be in an excellent position to put our hat in the ring for many more industry awards going forwards.”

Living Space is a development-led residential planning, design and construction services solution for Registered Providers, PRS Funds, the NHS, Universities and Defence Estates. Having launched to the market in 2019, the company is already well underway with the construction of seven residential developments across middle England, with a number of additional sites in the planning system. The combined construction value of its development portfolio is in excess of £72million, which equates to 580 affordable houses, apartments and bungalows.

Living Space’s live developments comprise 51 homes at its flagship Malvern Oaks scheme in the village of Cradley, on the outskirts of Malvern, Herefordshire, which is being developed in conjunction with leading affordable housing provider Stonewater. Another 48 homes are being constructed for Stonewater at the former Victoria Carpets Sports Ground in Kidderminster. 26 homes located off Britannia Way in central Telford, Shropshire are currently being delivered for Accord Housing Association. Elsewhere in Telford, 38 homes located off Park Road in the Malinslee ward of the town, and 39 homes on former Homes England land at Majestic Way are being delivered for The Wrekin Housing Group. 40 affordable homes are being constructed for housing provider Paradigm on a site off Oak Farm Drive in the Oxfordshire village of Milcombe, while 36 homes are being constructed in conjunction with Hightown Housing Association in the village of Moggerhanger, Central Bedfordshire.
